KITIWAPF Children's hiking trail

Along the new KITIWAPF (children's animal trail) you have to be careful, because the inhabitants of the forest are waiting for all little explorers and big adventurers! They would like to tell the children more about themself and help them to solve the KITIWAPF adventure crossword puzzle!

And this is how it works: When hiking, simply follow the colourful information boards attached next to the path and deligently collect the different animal tracks in the KITIWAPF stamp passport. Afterwards, there is a little surprise for all good hiking foxes at the Moosalm or Reitlehenalm!

The way is the destination

The Moosalm

The Moosalm at the end of the KITIWAPF trail

Rustic and genuine at 1,170 m
for more than 450 years
closed on tuesdays and wednesdays

Since 1972 the over four centuries old Moosalm on monte popolo Eben has been traditionally farmed in the summer months. Regional products are offered above all: Starting with milk and various types of homemade cheese to homemade alpine butter and farmhouse bread, everyone - large and small - can look forward to a culinary refreshment. There is also a playground and a small petting zoo for the children.

The Reitlehenalm

Wonderful isolated location on 1.280m
for over 500 years
closed on Mondays

The Reitlehenalm has existed for over 500 years and has been family-owned since 1897. It is a popular destination for locals and guests of the region. It offers regional cuisine, refreshing drinks and an incomparable view of the valley. Of course, lots of fun is guaranteed for the kids as well. From the petting zoo, to the children's playground, to a swimming and fishing pond, there is certainly something for everyone.

Two different levels of difficulty

A path for little explorers and big adventurers

With two different starting points and thus two different levels of difficulty, the KITIWAPF is very easy to manage for both large and small hikers. While older, walking-loving children are in good hands on the Adventure Trail, the Discovery Trail can even be walked by the smallest members of the family (suitable for prams).
