Guided hikes to the Gerzkopf
Once a week our hiking guides will take you to the breathtaking nature reserve Gerzkopf. Together you will walk past the legendary "Black Ponds" in which a golden wagon is said to have sunken, high up to the summit cross and the old wishing bell. Once you reach the summit, a gigantic view opens up over the Tennengebirge, the Niedere and Hohe Tauern, the Gosaukamm, the Dachstein massif and the striking Bischofsmütze.

Unique nature reserve Gerzkopf
The Gerzkopf is considered a fascinating natural jewel in the middle of the Fritztal grass mountains.
Because of its valuable and rare habitats - including the moor waters, the so called „Black Ponds", which occure in the entire province of Salzburg - it was declared a European protected area in 2006 and integrated into the European Natura 2000 network.
